Thiruvananthapuram: The Railway Board has told that there is no direction issued by the Railway Ministry regarding the closing of the Tryvananthapuram Railroad-Based Train Officer.
“The Railroad Recruitment Board here will continue its function,” said a statement issued by the South Railway.
“Given the recent news report on the closure of the train recruitment council in Thiruvananthapuram, the Railroad Council has clarified that there was no such decision taken by the train ministry,” he said.
The train recruitment board in Thiruvananthapuram currently serves jurisdictions served by Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad and Madurai Division from the South Railway.
The board invites the application, conducts checks and interviews and publishes the ranking of the posts ‘c’ non-inn.
