Note The house committee ‘increases’ situation in J & K

SRINAGAR: The 11-member Parliamentary Committee in external affairs has reviewed the situation in J & K and expressed satisfaction of the atmosphere of “improvement” in the valley even though many challenges faced by security forces, said the army on Wednesday.
The committee, led by the Chairman of the PP Chaudhary, visited the Headquarters of the Headquarters of the Army Chinar Corps in Srinagar and was briefed by the General Officer Commander, LieK Gen DP Pandey, in the situation along the control line and in the interior.
“GOC also briefed the members to the steps taken to break the cycle of violence and carry peace and stability to Kashmir,” said a defense spokesman.
“The efforts of the Chinar Corps in building Citizen-Army Connect are also highlighted.” The committee was also taken at the round and showed all modern equipment currently used during counter-terrorism and other operations.
