More than one lakh, new NCC cadets have been added in the border area in the past two years, he said while throwing more induction of women in the organization.
He noted that women get more responsibilities in the armed forces.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the threat of drug abuse and asked NCC members to work to protect themselves and their campuses were free from this and also helped those who were not in the NCC in getting rid of this.
Noting that in the era of possibilities related to digital technology and the information sector there is also the hazard of the wrong information, he said NCC members can run awareness campaigns for this.
Young people can also play a big role in “vocals for local” to help India become independent, the prime minister said, adding that more demand for local products will increase production and subsequently.
“I am proud that I am also a NCC cadet like you at a time …
while fulfilling my current responsibilities to the country, I get the great power of the training I get in the NCC and the things I learned there,” Modi the.
Modi said he had just got a NCC alumni card and he came to the rally not only as prime minister but also as a former cadet.
“The government took many steps to join the state education system with NCC,” he said.
Under the new national education policy, 90 state universities have begun to offer NCC as the subject of choice for their students, he noted.
“I see a lot of cadet girls here.
This is a sign of how our country changes,” he said “the state requires your contribution and there are many opportunities for it,” he told the cadet girl.
He said that now the country’s daughters took the entrance ticket in a sainik school and women get the main responsibility in the Army.
The country’s daughters fly fighter planes in the Air Force.
“In such situations, it must be our effort that more and more girls must be included in the NCC,” he added.
When a youth of a country began working with the motto “first nation”, there was no power in the world that could stop it, he said.
He said the cadet had to apply the principles – they learned in the NCC – when they returned home.
