New Delhi: In the midst of the political crisis faced by Congress in Punjab, former Minister of External Affairs Natwar Singh on Thursday said that “nothing right” in the current party.
The former Union Minister slammed Rahul Gandhi, said he made a decision in all things without holding any position at the party.
“Rahul Gandhi, who didn’t even make a designation at a party, but he made a decision in all things.
There was nothing right at the party at this time,” Singh Ani said.
He said Rahul Gandhi, who was a member of parliament from Wayanad and former Congress’s head, was among those responsible for the current party issues.
“Three people are responsible for this, one of which is Rahul Gandhi,” he said.
Natwar Singh said that Rahul Gandhi made a decision to replace Captain Amarinder Singh, who had 52 years long experience.
Amarinder Singh resigned as Minister of Punjab earlier this month.
Targeting the leadership of the Congress, Natwar Singh said instead of captain Amarinder Singh, Congress has given responsibility to Sidhu, “who can make a decision anytime”.
Sidhu, who was appointed as the Head of the Punjab Congress in July in the midst of a pilfizes in the State Unit, resigned on September 28.
Natwar Singh also explored Sidhu.
“Sidhu has resigned from Rajya Sabha and then met Vice President Hamid Ansari and asked if I could return.
In this case, Hamid Ansari said that now resignation cannot be withdrawn,” said Natwar Singh.
