Bengaluru: The High Court on Tuesday issued a notice to the former CM BS Yediyurappa, his son by Vijayendra, former Minister of St.
Somashekar and others in connection with the petition who accused corruption in a housing project.
Social activist TJ Abraham, who filed a petition, challenged the sequence of court July 8, 2021 who rejected his personal complaint.
Apart from the recovery of his complaint, Abraham was looking for directions from the court to register pine and investigate Yediyurappa (then CM) and others, both under the prevention of corruption laws and various parts of the IPC vis-a-vis various examples of corruption quoted by him.
Judge Sunil Dutt Yadav also ordered a notification to Grandson Yediyurappa Shashidhar Maradi, Virupakshappa Yalandimaradi, Sanjay Sree, daughter-in-law of Yediyurappa Padmavathi, and the Brandrakanth businessman Ramalingam, among others.
The Petitioner argued that even though the trial judge was convinced there was material to continue against the defendant named after him, personal complaints were rejected on the grounds that the governor had rejected sanctions on anti-corruption acts.
Now Yediyurappa no longer holds the position of minister’s head, it is debated, previous sanctions from the governor is not needed.
Abraham accused RS 12 Crore paid as a bribe to revive the BDA housing project that supports the construction of Ramalingam M / S Private Limited – revealed subsequently in TV exposure – and RS 17.5 Crore Cash was collected in the name of Yediyurappa by family members.
He filed a complaint with the anti-corruption bureau on November 19 2020.
Two days later, a notification was released for him, look for the original document.
He claimed even though he offered clarification for doubts raised, ACB sent support on December 15, closing complaints submitted by him.
