Notification to the train board from the ticket checking staff

Written by news2in

Nagpur: The Staff Organization to check for Indian train tickets has sent legal notifications to the railroad council that challenges the termination of night allowances for staff who have a basic salary of more than RS43,600 from September last year.
Advice for organizations argues that night duty allowances are part of the recommendation of the seventh Pay Commission and have not been stopped for decades since the 1970s.
The notification is also called the Council’s decision as a violation of Article 14 Constitutional and discriminatory in nature.
It also underlines the fact that because it does not pay night allowances, employees suffer.
Demanding the removal of the base pay ceiling, notification claims that the Board denies the legally titled benefits for staff who do their duties even after the allowance has been withdrawn.
The notification also pointed to the council that was a court decision in 1972 to pay the night allowance of the train staff regardless of the salary limit or other classification, but the same thing was stopped last year.
Even when this problem was referred to the committee to disconnect in 2017, the panel had decided to support train employees and asked the seventh payment commission to keep the night allowance structure unchanged.
