Lucknow: Eight diarrhea patients, including seven children, were reported from Sarojininagar in the last 48 hours, until Monday night.
Local residents say three children have been treated at a local private hospital after dehydration due to loose and vomiting movements, others suffer abdominal pain and fever and treated at home.
They claimed that a six-year-old child died of diarrhea on Sunday.
Health options, however, denied claims.
Local Corporator, Munna Lal Kureel, has written to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) who requested testing water supplied to the area and established a health camp.

Manoj Agrawal said, “Jal Sansthan examined the quality of the water supply and found it suitable for consumption.
It seems that people fall ill after consuming contaminated foods.
Those in the hospital are stable.” Denies that the 6-year-old who died, CMO said , “The child suffered from cerebral palsy and was received at a private hospital after seizure.” He said the local public health center was asked to remain vigilant and report if anyone complained of diarrhea or vomiting.
