Now, AU students have ‘smart’ access to the Varsity Central Library

Prayagraj: Students, pursuing various undergraduate and postgraduate programs Allahabad University (AU), can now have access to various online resources available with the AU Central Library through their smartphones, laptops or computers.
Considered as the main Fillip for service library expanded to its students, long distance access from e-content for students can be accessed through the Varsity website.
At present, Members of the AU teaching faculty and research scholars can take advantage of remote access to all library online resources through service providers, Remote XS.
After getting a user ID and password, online resources including journals, e-books and online databases can be accessed by users / students.

Sangita Srivastava decided to open access to UG students and campus PG.
This facility will benefit around 20,000 AU students.
“Access to library electronic sources will be provided to UG and PG students through a portal called ‘Inform’ provided for AU by INFBET (Information and Library) of the Grants University (UGC) Commission.

He further informed that to utilize these facilities, students must visit the Varsity website and under the ‘Download Form’ section, the form relating to using this facility can be downloaded.
“After filling out the form, the PG students must continue to be forwarded by the head of the department concerned and the UG students must get the same by the welfare of the Dean students.
The filled form should be submitted in the library and students, in turn, will get a link to the letter, clicking on it will allows them to produce their ID and password “, explained Singh.
Once produced, the same thing will be used to get access to all electronic sources through the library section on the AU website, he added.
After entering the library section, students must click on the infosition and enter the username and password to get access to all electronic sources.
Students only need to have an internet connection to use facilities.
Useful facilities will be available to AU students themselves because the same thing has not been expanded to a constituent college because inflibnet is provided by UGC only for AU.
