Kolkata: The Bengali government on Saturday allows direct flights to Kolkata from Mumbai and Chennai every day of the week, ending the embargo that limits flight in these sectors to three days every week from September 2020.

Passengers who fly to Bengal must test the RT-PCR in 72 hours before their flight only if they have not been fully vaccinated.

Passengers from Mumbai and Chennai must take flights through other cities to defeat the prohibitions in these days.

A similar embargo on flights from Delhi to the airport in Bengal was appointed in December 2020.
