Now, Gujarat gas increases the price of CNG, PNG

Ahmedabad: State-Run Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL) has raised the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) and natural gas pipes (PNG) for housing and industrial customers with the effects of October 5.
The company raised the price of CNG in Gujarat to Rs 58.10 per kg, per kg, Increased Rs 3.65 (including taxes and fees) from RS 54.45 per kg rates earlier, according to the company, which serves around 7 customers through a 450-odd network of CNG stations throughout Gujarat.
The retail price of domestic PNG throughout the country has been revised upwards of RS 2,12 per cubic meter standard (SCM) to Rs 29.61 per SCM (including tax) from RS 27.50 / SCM.
The latest increase arises after the central government increases the price of natural gas produced in the country by 62% to $ 2.90 per million British thermal units (MMBTU) for a period of 1.2021 to March 31, 2022.
Sharp increase in gas prices in the international market has forced the company to raise the PNG price supplied to the industry.
For ceramic and sanitaryware units in the Morbi and Surendranagar areas, the Industrial PNG level has risen by Rs 9.5 per cubic meter standard (SCM) to Rs 47.01 per SCM from RS 37.51 per SCM for OFFTAKE (MGO) for a minimum of three months.
For MGO one month, the price has increased by Rs 10.15 per SCM to RS 47.51 per SCM (not including tax), said the ceramic tile industry player.
Last week, Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) raised the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) and natural gas piped (PNG) for housing, industrial and commercial customers.
