Ghaziabad: A total of 162 new health sub-centers and 10 polyclinics will regulate this financial year in the urban area of Ghaziabad.
The concept of new sub-centers is now limited to rural areas.
In addition, a plan is underway to shift 14 sub-centers from rented accommodation to new government buildings.
These centers, such as the Mohalla clinic in Delhi, aims to provide primary health services to residents near their homes.
The government plans to appoint specialists and provide various health services to people through these centers.
However, the conditions of the sub-centers are not good enough.
Of the 76 health centers initially planned in Ghaziabad, 34 lay dead for months with the absence of public health workers (Chos).
The government has planned to increase the sub-centers that focus on maternal and child health for health and fitness centers in Ghaziabad.
The target is to increase the number of facilities to 76 in the fiscal year.
But only 42 is functional now.
These sub-centers are the first health care points in the village and family planning, counseling sessions, routine immunization programs and Ante-Christmas inspections are planned at this facility.
Some centers also conduct procedures such as insertion of copper IUDS as part of the encouragement of family planning.
