Mumbai: Indian aircraft care technicians have postponed their decision to undergo an agitation of ‘Tools Down’ until January 24.
Last week, groups representing around 1,700 technicians, on short-term contracts with national carrier, have threatened to do work from January.

Among the problems raised are the update of the work contract, the revision of salary, inclusion of excellent benefits etc.
At present, the process of conciliation under the assistant commissioner is among the technicians and management of the subsidiary of airline engineering.
“Next week, Air Management of India Engineering Ltd.
(AIESL) is expected to deliver their decision on our demands and so that the decision to strike has been suspended,” said a technician.
Among the work handled by aircraft maintenance technicians is making aircraft fuel and ready for departure, marshaling, etc.
