Chennai: This center has planned to “seize” the rights of the state government in reception to post a postgraduate medical program and it was unacceptable, the Head of the Vaiko MDMK said here on Sunday.
The design of postgraduate medical education regulations seeks to concentrate and appoint the Directorate General of Health, under the health minister as an appointed authority for counseling for the country’s quota seats, he said in a statement.

Only the Tamil Nadu government must hold counseling for reception “100 percent postgraduate medical seats post” in medical colleges managed by the government and the union government that conducts counseling for these courses is unacceptable, he said.
The Tamil Nadu government must make it categorically that the BJP-LED center “continues to seize the rights of the state government in the field of education” cannot be permitted, he urges.
On Saturday, Minister M St Stalin’s chairman told the center that the rules, if implemented, would be very damaging Tamil Nadu.
The proposed norm is intended to underestimate the role of state government in PG medical education because of their role in acceptance under their own country quota trying to remove, Stalin said.
