BHubaneswar: Senior BJD leader and Deputy Chairperson of the State Planning Council Sanjay Dasburma have found himself in controversy after a young man’s family member, who is his close and allegedly found to be killed in the river in Puri, accusing the former after contracting crime.
Chittaranjan Palei who died (27) has worked for Dasburma for the past few years.
On Sunday, the Palei family member filed a complaint with the police consciously alleged that he had been lost since Saturday night.
They told the police that he went to attend a party with some of his friends in Puri on Saturday night.
When they suspect that Palei may have been kidnapped, the police registered a case below section 364 (kidnapping for murder) IPC on Sunday.
On Monday morning, Palei’s body fished from the river near Gadamrugerhira Village.
Based on his family complaint, the police registered a murder case.
“I was very suspicious of the involvement of Sanjay Dasburma and one guard, who was my husband’s friend, in the murder.
The police must interrogate them,” Palei Priyanka’s wife told media people.
Family members accused that there were several personal disputes between Dasburma and Palei.
This development approached the controversy heel about the Minister of BJD, Shankar Mishra and Pratap Jena in two separate murder cases.
Dasburma denied the allegations.
“I’m very sad to the death of Palei.
His wife is like my daughter.
Comprehensive request will reveal the truth and make sure the cause of death.
I am not at all connected with death,” Dasburma told reporters.
Kanwar Vishal Singh Police Castle Supervisor has formed a special (sitting) investigation team for quick case investigations.
“Additional supervisor of Police Purna Chandra Pradhan will lead sitting.
Early detection of cases and collection of evidence will remain a top priority,” Singh said.
On Tuesday, BJP demanded Dasburma’s resignation from the position of Deputy Chairperson of the State Planning Council.
Dasburma said family members from the deceased met Puri SP and demanded a crime investigation into this case.
