Patna: Opposition leader in the State Assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, on Friday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who demanded Caste Census in the state.
He also took Jibe at the head of Minister Nitish Kumar, said the last, despite sending a letter to PM a week ago, did not reply.
“The caste-based census is in a big interest in the masses,” Tejashwi told reporters.
The Head of the De Facto RJD said PM Modi did not bother giving a promise to Nitish, who wanted to undergo a country’s legislator delegation to meet him at the same problem.
“Without a response even after a week, it was clear that PM ignored Nitish.
But RJD won’t sit quietly on this problem.
We have gone without choice but to hold a Dharna in Jantar Mantar in Delhi,” he said.
Nitish has convinced the leaders of the previous opposition party that he would look for appointments by PM to discuss controversial problems with caste censuses in the state.
Nitish on Thursday said he had not received a reply from PMO on the letter sent on August 4 to find an appointment with PM to discuss this issue related to Caste Census.
“The demand for the caste census is not only from Bihar leaders but also from other countries.
Our party leaders have met with the Ministry of Department of Fund Department Amit Shah and tells him about this problem,” Nitish said.
This may be for the first time in the last four years Tejashwi has supported the party leader and JD (U) very openly on any political problems.
Former Head of CM and Human Rights Jitan Ram Manjhi also demanded the caste census to be carried out by the country itself.
“If the center does not approve the request, the state must do it,” he said.
