Aizawl: With the entry of more refugees from Myanmar because of armed clashes which are often among the Tatmadaw or Myanmar soldiers and local civil defense forces in Chin State, Mizoram now accommodates more than 20,000 refugees throughout the state, officials said.
They said more than 4,000 displaced people had crossed Tiau River Border Mizoram-Myanmar for the past few weeks after the official record placed the number of refugees in this country at 16,000.
Mizoram shares a porous international border 404 km with Myanmar, which through it thousands of refugees entered the country to take refuge after a military coup lasted a year ago.
The latest clashes between TATMADAW and the People’s Defense Force (PDF), who called themselves in the Country of Chinland Defense Force (CDF) and the Dang National Force (CNA) combined, as well as military cruelty committed to civilians in numbers.
