Lucknow: The Government of Uttar Pradesh has provided 1,100 plots for manufacturers of clothing and toys and various other MSME units along the Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) for more than four years, the Minister of Industry Development Mahana Mahana told Assocham on Thursday.
“I feel proud to share that for the past 4-4.5 years, up has emerged as the most preferred investment objectives in this country.
There are many transformations in the state as far as industrial development relating to government zero-tolerance policies about law and order, “Mahana said at a conference about ‘building state capabilities for the Global-Uttar Pradesh chain.
Discussing State Investment Policy, Mahana said previously there was a big trust deficit between the industry and the government but now the main minister, minister himself and senior department officials are ready to support the industry.
“I am sure it is now the largest industrial country throughout the country.
It has a special shipping corridor that runs it, while new policies have been designed to help bring further investment in the state.
However, for better coordination, I urge the industry to get involved with Related departments for problems related to various sectors such as power, environment, taxes etc., “he said.
The minister said that many of the above textile units closed earlier because primitive machines and related problems, which encouraged the country to resign but now with better policies, the ease of doing business and cooperative government, the state has become an investment center.
