The owner must regain the vehicle registered again in this deadline.
Toi has been on April 28, first reported this step to have a national registration series for the private vehicle.
The owner of the vehicle that chooses this scheme must pay a road tax for two years or in multiples of two.
“After finishing the 14th year, motor vehicle tax or road tax will be collected every year and it will be half of the number of previously charged for the vehicle,” said a ministry official.
The whole process will be made online to ensure no need to go to RTOS.
The ministry has repaired road taxes at 8% for vehicles worth 10 lakh, 10% for those who cost between Rs 10-20 lakh and 12% for vehicles for RS 20 lakh.
There will be 2% additional costs for diesel vehicles and electric vehicles will be subject to 2% less tax.
