Thiruvananthapuram: Close on the heel of alleged public abuse faced by a 8-year-old girl and her father from a pink police officer, another left-handed incident against a child near the police has been revealed.
This time, it was a parent of a three-year-old girl who had caused charges against Balaramapuram police officers.
According to them, the police stopped their car on the name of the vehicle inspection and took the key while the child was in the vehicle.
The pair of Shibukumar and Anjana from Manivila near Parassala have revealed the story of harassment they faced eight months ago, because they felt their experience similar to what the father-child duo faced in the hands of a pink police officer in Attingal.
The alleged incident occurred on February 23.
The family traveled from Manivila to the city.
The police signaled their car to stop when they reached the Lounevappara near Balaramapuram.
They told the Shibuksar that he was driving above the speed limit and he had to pay a punishment of Rs 1,500.
But, he only has Rs 500 with him.
They are professional musicians and they have not worked since the pandemics broke out.
Even though he tried to negotiate with the police they refused to show lightening.
They also gave him a strange advice to wait in the place until they arrested other perpetrators who were willing to pay a penalty without demanding a receipt so that the penalty they paid could be accounted for to the shibukjar.
The family must wait there for more than 45 minutes.
While waiting, an argument broke out between Shibukumar and the police.
When Anjana stepped out of the car to see what happened, an officer entered the car and took the key and slammed the door, locked a small child who began to cry.
The police finally let them go after he paid a fine by borrowing money from other people.
