Hyderabad: Gulf workers who are depressed at Huzurabad Bound-Bound now want the government to come out with the ‘Gulf Bandhu’ scheme in the line ‘Dalit Bandhu’ recently launched by the state.
Gulf workers, who held a meeting in the electoral district, also met Jammikunta Tahsildar and handed over the petition that urged ‘Gulf Bandhu’ financial assistance of Rs 10 Lakh was held at Huzurabad as a pilot project.
“There are 15 Telananga Lakh workers who work hard in the Gulf countries and send foreigners.
If the armed forces are on the border to protect the country, Gulf workers make similar services.
The foreign exchange they carry is used to meet the country’s needs,” said social workers And Gulf Bheem’s welfare activist Manddy Mandha said at the Gulf worker meeting in Reddypalli Village in Veenavanka Village in Huzurabad.
At other meetings held in Kamalapur, Gulf workers urge the center and state government to build a system to take care of their needs.
Activists demanded that the Gulf council be formed to see all aspects of work, including training and orientation before departure, dealing with fake job agents and rehabilitation and resettlement when they return.
