Thiruvananthapuram: After inviting public wraths and employees of the proposal to prepare the Bevco unit in the KSRTC bus holder and also use the KSRTC bus for waste disposal, the Minister of Transportation is now trapping the idea of using the bus to sell fish.
The Transport Minister Antony Raju has proposed the idea of starting “fish on the wheel” using the KSRTC bus.
The minister said that a bus set will be used to sell fish in the state.
Apart from this, there are also plans to provide space on the KSRTC bus stand to sell fish.
Previously, the decision to use the KSRTC bus for waste disposal has invited employee wrath and trade unions.
Reacting to criticism from employees, the minister said, “The proposal has never meant that employees must be involved in waste disposal.
They only need to drive a vehicle.” The idea is to take advantage of the old bus service for waste disposal, he added.
However, the proposal to start the Bevco unit in the KSRTC bus holder received a flek from various quarters.
Then, the excise minister came out with a statement that there was no proposal before the government opened outlets in the bus stand.
This proposal is debated as part of an increase in the income of the sick KSRTC unit.
Unhealthy and old buses, which are now disposed of in the KSRTC depot garage, are proposed to be used for this service.
