New Delhi: The Double World Champion Champion Mittal and Rifle shooter who was bonded by Olympics Anjum Moudgil on Wednesday was recommended for Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award by the Indian National Rifle Association (NRAI).
Mittal won the world title of a double trap in 2018 and got Arjuna award in the same year.
Moudgil is a silver silver world championship, also from the 2018 edition and he was awarded Arjuna in 2019.
“Both have also been recommended in the same category last year,” Nrai said in a statement.
For Arjuna Awards, NRA has recommended the Olavpice duo bound Elavenil Valarivan and Abhishek Verma.
While Valarivan is the number one world in a 10m rifle of water, Verma holds the top position in a 10m water gun.
Also in the dispute for National Honor is 50 m world champion of the Mitherval Gun.
There are no recommendations in the Dronacharya Awards category this year from NRAI.
National Sports Award is given every year on August 29 to mark the birthday of the birth of the main legend of Dhyan Chand as a national sports day.
