Favorite controversy child, Kanganana Ranaut returned to the main headline for his last controversial statement.
The actress kicked fire storm on Thursday because it said that India achieved “real freedom” in 2014, when the Narendra MODI-LED government had ruled, and described Indian independence in 1947 as “Bheek”.
Protests erupted outside his home on Friday afternoon.
A group of NSUI protested and demanded that the Shri Padma award be taken back to ‘insult’ fighter freedom and the courageous martyr.

In addition to protests, some politicians from the ruling party and opposition have slammed the actress for her speech.

Delhi leader BJP Praveen Shankar Kapoor is the latest to demand that justice take action against him.
“Being the son of a freedom fighters and comes from family of freedom fighters, I found Kangana Ranana’s statement that India’s freedom was alms (Bheekh) as the abuse of the greatest freedom and insult to sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
I hope the Indian justice system to take awareness,” said Kapoor in Tweet in Hindi on Thursday.

The leader of the Senior Congress Anand Sharma on Thursday was called ‘outrageous’ actress comment and also asked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop his silence and said whether he supported such a view, the other government had to take legal action that was appropriate for Ranaut.
