Letter: aim to migrate from traditional energy resources, Kawas NTPC in Hazira is establishing a 56 MW solar power plant which is likely to be completed in March 2022.
Of the total plant capacity, 1 MW factory will float in the lake gas-based power plant in Kawas while solar power plants 55 MW will be arranged on the ground.
Apart from the shift to solar power, NTPC Kawas has produced electricity through wind turbines in Rajkot and Kutch.
Power plants in Rajkot produce 50 MW output while the Kutch factory produces 150 MW.
“NTPC has four reliability, economical, welfare activities, and environmental protection.
As part of protecting the environment and based on the focus of the Government of India, NTPC also works on technology development to use hydrogen green for energy generation,” said Kulvinder Singh, General Manager, NTPC Kawas.
“NTPC Limited has a target to reach 1.30 lakh MW Power Production in 2032.
NTPC currently has a total capacity of 67,657 MW power generation.
We focus on greener energy resources,” he added.
