Patna / Sitamarhi: Unknown criminals killed midwives aid and shot a famous doctor in the city of Sitamarhi Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Ankita Pandey, a resident of Sutihara in the Sitamarhi district.
What was injured, Dr.
Shivshanker Mahto (45), struggled for his life in a private hospital in Dumra.
Mahto’s second wife, Dr.
Shabnam, and two other employees – Suresh Kumar and Munna Kumar besides the driver of his car Prabhash managed to escape in a shot.
The incident occurred after midnight Tuesday when Dr.
Mahto and Babi Kumari alias Ankita, Dr.
Shabnam and the two employees returned to their nurses located in Shanti Nagar in the city after overseeing their new hospital work.
Immediately after Ankita came out of the car, the attackers were waiting in a two-wheeled vehicle nearby, opening a shot indiscriminately.
They pumped three bullets into Dr.
Mahto’s body and escaped from the points that thought he was dead.
Ankita’s body gave birth to five signs of a bullet injury.
The two were injured in a hurry to the nearest hospital.
However, Ankita gave up on her injury.
Dr.
Pravin, who attended Dr.
Mahto who was injured, said the bullet hit his chest, hands and feet.
He described his condition very important.
“The next 48 hours are very important for him,” he said.
Sitamarhi SP Harkishore Rai said a fired fired against four people, including the first wife of Dr.
Mahto and two nieces with regard to the incident.
“All the accusations named have been arrested,” he told this newspaper by telephone.
SP said the initial investigation revealed that the surgeon had a property dispute.
“Other personal clinics are likely to be operational near Shanker Chowk in the city,” he added.
Dr.
Mahto’s second wife, Dr.
Shabnam, previously worked at his old hospital.
“The new property was purchased in his name, which made Dr.
Mahto’s first wife and other family members,” SP said.
