Madhavi Chavan, a resident of Bhavaninagar in Hubballi, told Ti that they welcomed the new year with friends on the open terrace.
“When the government has limited a night party, we celebrate happily at our home by playing games with children,” he said.
Nagaraj Koppal said his family celebrated on the terrace.
