New Zealand reported 83 cases obtained locally on Sunday the very contagious Delta Coronavir variant with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that some changes to how managed outbreaks could be announced on Monday.
Ardern on Friday expanded locking for 5.1 million countries until midnight on Tuesday, after that the restrictions subsided slightly.
Auckland, however, which is the center of the outbreak is to remain confined to Ardern longer said the government is looking for more information about the spread of infection.
“If we need to tighten our restrictions further, we will,” he told the television briefing.
From the case of Sunday, 82 reported in Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand, and the others were in the capital, Wellington.
New Zealand has lived in free viruses and without sidewalks until the August outbreak.
So far, the country has recorded more than 3,100 cases of Coronavirus which was confirmed since the commencement of Pandemi and 26 related deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.
From the cases of the current community, 34 people were in hospitals and two of them in intensive care.
The case of the active community stands at 511, with 496 of them in Auckland.
“Having positive cases in our community, along with the effects of locking that I know can be very troubled, and that uncertainty can affect everyone’s mental health,” Ardern said, announcing additional financial resources for mental health and urging people to seek help.
“So, it’s okay to feel overwhelmed, to feel upset, or even feel frustrated because this situation is often all that.”
