Dharwad: Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil said that on the Obavva defense training program aimed to instill in girls’ ability and confidence to defend themselves to anti-social elements and improve in various fields of life.
Investing a training program at the University of Gandhi Bhavan in Karnatak here on Tuesday he said the state government has introduced a six-month training program that contains 48 hours of training to equip girls with self-defense techniques after an increase in the number of eve tempting, rape and other atrocities in women .
He called the girls to take advantage of the opportunity.
Until now this training was conveyed to 4,472 girls, all government inmates in all districts, he added and the others were present.
