Odisha: 19 schools without teachers at Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Keonjhar who is rich in minerals continues to be left behind in education because of the lack of teachers in elementary school with 19 of them running without school and 380 schools managed by a single teacher in 13 district blocks.
Government guidelines determined the presence of one teacher for every 30 students in each school.
Every school must have at least two teachers, regardless of the number of students, to provide quality education, he added.
Of the 19 schools without teachers, four were in the Chambua Block, three of each in Anandpur, Ghatataon, Saharada and Block Hatdihi, respectively in Jhumpura, Telkoi, and Block HariChandanpur.
Likewise, the Harchandanpur block has the largest number (48) schools in the district with a single teacher.
Overall 42 schools in the Champua Block, 41 schools in Banspal Block, 34 schools were aware of Block, 33 schools in Blok Ghatataon, 31 schools in Block Saharada, 30 schools in Telkoi Block, each managed by a single teacher.
In the absence of proper administration, many schools have more teachers than students.
The absence of teachers in the tribal and hills area has paralyzed education there.
The source said the teacher was still absent from school because of the lack of proper supervision.
PC District Education Officers half said, “We take steps to fulfill government guidelines who mandate the appointment of at least two teachers in each school.
There are no schools that will be run in this district without zero or one teacher.” Apart from the crisis, more than hundreds of schools in this district do not have basic facilities such as proper toilets and pure drinking water, limit walls, playgrounds, additional classrooms, etc.
