Bhubaneshwar: Two sisters with a recent history of travel to Nigeria have been found infected by Omicron, raising the number of these cases in the fourth state.

After the girls were feeling positive for Covid-19, the samples they were sent for sequencing the genome, which led to the detection of tension omicron.
they have been admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
“Mishra further said the girls did not have a major symptom And their health conditions are stable.
Ajay Parida, Director of the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) here, said, “We conducted an eight samples of genome sequencing, which was positive for Covid, where the two returned positive for Omicron.
The rest was found to carry a dominant Delta variant.” Three more back foreign tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.
Their samples have also been sent to ILS.
Medical experts believe because it is too early to understand the impact of omicron, there is a need for more stringent compliance with Covid norms.
