Bhubaneswar: Contractual Teachers, Under Aegis from the 2015 Junior Junior Junior Teacher Association – Batch Odisha on Friday, held a demonstration here demanding regularization of their services.
Although the state government has convinced them to do so on the completion of six years in service, the decision has not been realized.
Hundreds of Junior teachers took a general meeting at Lower PMG Square here to protest the alleged government’s indifference to their old problems.
A total of 8,102 junior teachers, all of which in 2015 were appointed by contracts in the elementary school managed by the government and above, have demanded permanent work.
Saroj Kumar Panda, Organizers of the Association, “The state government has issued a departmental order to regulate junior teachers on the settlement of six years of their services.
It should have started the process of six months before we finished six years, but no one was doing.” He accused the government to postpone the process .
“Nearly 11 months have passed, but we have not received any communication from the government for this effect.
Not even notice the court notice in this matter,” he added.
The Manas Association Secretary of the Manas Ranjan Parida also accused of ignoring the teacher, while watching the demands of employees with various categories, including outsourcing staff.
“If the government does not meet our demands, we will continue our Dharna at the lower PMG,” Parida added.
