BHUBANESWAR: With the significant increase in the coronavirus situation in the state, Odisha government on Saturday allowed cultural encounters, opening auditorium and cinema halls Covid follow protocol.

As far as possible, the facility for online booking of tickets can be arranged by the organizers and an adequate number of counters will be opened to prevent crowding during ticket booking offline, he said, adding that for an indoor space, the number of viewers / audience will not exceed 50 percent of the seating capacity hall, he said.
Cinema hall, the theater will be allowed to open by up to 50 percent of capacity and operates with compliance because Covid protocol.
In enclosed spaces, the number of people included invitations will not exceed 50 percent of the capacity of the hall, the order mentioned.
People who have a two-dose vaccination certificate and rapid antigen test and RT-PCR negative reports obtained within 72 hours prior to the function will be allowed to attend the event.
People with symptoms of influenza-like infections and severe acute respiratory tract infections will not be allowed to events while vulnerable groups of people such as people over 65 years, those with comorbidities and pregnant women are advised not to attend the function.
The order also categorically said that chewing Gutkha / paan and spat at the venue is strictly prohibited.
However, permission for such activities will be provided by the district or municipal corporation commissioner keeping in view the situation of local corona.

Meanwhile, Covid daily caseload in Odisha remained above 200 for the fifth consecutive day on Saturday.
The new cases were reported from 19 districts while 11 others did not register the case.
While 242 new infections were detected on Friday, countries have reported 229 infections on Thursday, 226 on Wednesday, 206 on Tuesday and 185 on Monday.
Of the new cases, the Khurda district state capital Bhubaneswar is part reported 123 fresh cases were followed by Cuttack (24).
