Bhubaneswar: Odisha will have a university health knowledge with the Assembly on Thursday giving a nod to the bill in the midst of an opposition bench.
As a medical and paramedics in this country affiliated with various universities for the provision of titles, diplomas or training certificates, the state government plans to bring all medical and paramedic colleges in one institution.
While transferring laws, Minister of Health Naba Kisore DAS said universities where medical and paramedics are currently affiliated are public universities, which have no specialization in medical studies that can be adopted in the method of teaching, learning and new research.
The Minister of Health said medical colleges and universities need a healthy, progressive and productive academic environment.
“Because there is no general authority to guide, help or direct various institutions in connection with the workforce, infrastructure and maintenance of the quality of education, planning and to notify them about various problems to support state health services, the formation proposed by the university will overcome this serious lacunae, “Das said.
The Assembly also passed Odisha’s land rights to slap DWellers (amendments), 2021 to allow slum areas to take advantage of benefits under various urban housing schemes.
The move assumes the significance ahead of the city election, the possibility will be held next year.
Under the Odisha land rights for Slum Dwellers Act, 2017 (mission of Jaga), the government gives land rights to the residents of slums.
According to the amendment, if the residents of the slums have land less than 30 square meters (the minimum land needed to utilize a house under the urban housing scheme), the government will settle up to 30 square meters in support of beneficiaries, subject to the availability of land adjacent to the occupancy unit Like it’s adjacent.
Among other things, the Assembly also cleared the Bill of Goods and Services Odisha (Amendment), 2021.
BJP opposition and the MLA Congress did not participate in discussions because they protested in the well.
