Bhubaneswar: The State Assembly on Tuesday issued a round resolution to congratulate the Hockey team of women and men of India for their spectacular performances at the Tokyo Olympics recently.
The Minister of Sports Tusharkanti Behera transferred the resolution, which was also supported by the opposition bench.
“Hockey has a special place in India.
This game brings together the entire country and makes Indians around the world feel proud of achieving in Tokyo.
Men’s team has shown great resistance, skills, and fitness while the performance of women’s team is beyond all expectations and shows enthusiasm Exceptional battle.

While the men’s team won a bronze medal who beat Germany and ended waiting for 41 years India to win a medal in Hockey, a team of women also reached their first place at the Olympics.
Odisha is the official sponsor of the national men’s and women’s hockey team since 2018.
“It’s a matter of pride for all of us that Odisha has been recognized as a force behind the success of the Indian team.
