Odisha Bandh partly affects normal life

Bhubaneswar: The normal life is partly affected in part of the country on Thursday because six hours of Bandh Odisha, who was called by the left party protested the increase in fuel prices, gas cooking and essential commodities in the country.

The official source of the train said that train services were not affected during bandh.
Bus services have been restricted in the city because of Covid-19 guidelines.
Gas stations, shops and business houses lower window leaves in several places up to 12 noon.
The police cleaned places where protesters did picket.
Like Bhubaneswar, a similar scene was witnessed in the mix, Cuttack, Puri, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Balalasore, and other places.
Apart from bandh, motorbikes and four-wheeled looks plying on the road in several places.
Emergency services are removed from Bandh.
CPM State Secretary Ali Kishore Patnaik said the increase in fuel prices not only affected the owners of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, but also affected the cost of transportation of important commodities, agricultural products and other items.
“Petroleum products must be taken under GST folds and customs collections must be stopped,” he added.
Ramakrushna Panda, member of the National Executive Board, CPI, said the cost of agricultural input increased due to the increase in fuel prices.
“During the UPA-II government, gasoline prices floated more than Rs 70-75 per liter when the price of crude oil barrels was 100 dollars in the international market.
Now the barrel of crude oil costs around 75 dollars, but we pay Rs 102 per one liter of gasoline.
The government Must stop this madness now, “he added.
Gas rates are Rs 102.42 per one liter in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, while the price per liter diesel stands at Rs 98.01.
