BHUBANESWAR: The country administration confronted loss of Rs 610 crore because of Cyclone Yaas which struck the country on May 26, it had been advised in an inspection meeting attended by chief minister Naveen Patnaik via video-conference.
Naveen had requested his officers to get appropriate proof of the damage prior to and following the cyclone.
While attending the inspection meeting, main secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra stated 150 villages were submerged in floodwaters.
“Because of entrance of saline water in the ocean, standing crops are damaged.
As many as 1000 DG places, tankers and also PVC tanks have been utilized to offer power and drinking water into cyclone affected individuals,” Mohapatra said on Wednesday.
Particular relief commissioner (SRC) P K Jena stated 60 lakh individuals from 11,000 villages were changed in the cyclone.
“from Rs 610 crore, a total of Rs 520 crore of authorities infrastructure was changed badly while an quantity of Rs 66 crore has been required for relief effort,” Jena said.
Regarding reduction to plants, the SRC stated,”Saline water has entered agricultural soil and it can impact the Kharif season.
