Bhubaneswar: Rajya Member Sabet Sujeet Kumar has urged the UNION Railway Minister ASHWINI VAISHNAW to extend the HOWRAH-TITILAGARH ISPAT Superfast Express (12871/12872) to the station in the district of default.
Increasing demand in the update on Friday, BJD members said, “People of Kalangandi often visit Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela and Howrah, so the train can be expanded to God’s benefit For the rapid development, as imagined under the aspirational district program.
“The train runs between Howrah and Titilagarh every day.
This train connects big cities such as Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Tatanagar and Rourkela.
Furthermore, this train connects the western part of Odisha including Balangir, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh.
People from Goddown have demanded an extension that would help them travel to big cities, in addition to connecting to other Western Odisha districts.
Kumar said the expansion was carried out until Kantabanji was in Balalangir.
He said the extra train would provide assistance to local commuters.
