In other major developments, the Cabinet also approved the increase in the Edisha State Wide (Oswan) area network which helped improve the efficiency of governance through connectivity.
Oswan provides the backbone of basic information technology used to carry data, videos and sound traffic that facilitate inter-intra-departmental communication and share data within the country.
The main secretary said the increase was needed to meet the latest data technology, voice transmission and video.
It will facilitate bandwidth at the state headquarters, 30 district headquarters and 314 blocks of headquarters for increasing bandwidth, sharing the burden and availability of high connectivity.
Around RS 333 Crore will be spent on increasing Oswan.
