Odisha Cabinet Cleaning Projects worth more than RS 20,000 Crore

Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet on Tuesday approved several rural infrastructure projects worth more than RS 20,000 Crore.
Among those who get a nod are related to irrigation, rural roads, bridges, drinking water, and rural entrepreneurs promotion projects.
Although there are no new schemes announced, it has been repaid most of the existing and financial provisions for the revised program likely to be made in additional budgets in the election of Panchayat, scheduled for early next year.
Extended by CM Naveen Patnaik, the cabinet cleaned the elevator elevator plan of five-year RS 10,759 Crore under the existing Parbati Giri Mega Irrigation Project to create an additional irrigation potential of 2.63 lakh hectares throughout the country.
This program will be implemented between 202-22 and 2025-26.
“Because the low period of pregnancy from Mega Lift projects, farmers will get early irrigation benefits.
They will also be encouraged to shift towards cash from high-task rice plants because of micro irrigation compatibility schemes,” Chandra Mohapatra said Secretary said.
To strengthen rural connectivity and to provide connectivity all weather to the interior area, the cabinet provides a nod to project connectivity which is worth more than RS 7,000 Crore.
This includes the construction of 550 new bridges under the ongoing Bijaju Yojana, worth Rs 5,182 Crore, and construction of around 400 new road projects under Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yijaja by investing Rs 2,000 Crore.
These projects will be implemented from 2021-22 to 2023-24).
As part of its efforts to provide tap water to all rustic households on March 2024, the mega drinking water project worth 1800 crore is cleaned which will benefit 11 Lakh rural residents in all districts such as Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ladydom and Coraput.
The target has been set to resolve most of these projects within 24 months.
Explain that rural unemployment can be a big problem for opposition parties in the upcoming Panthayat elections, the cabinet agreed to a five-year budget worth of Rs 484 Crore to promote agricultural entrepreneurship by providing subsidies under the Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana.
