BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday declared Covid-19 bundle worth Rs 1,690 crore which could help landless farmers, construction workers, urban poor, food safety beneficiaries, MGNREGS employees and primitive tribes of this nation.
Announcing the bundle, the chief minister Naveen Patnaik said though the Covid-19 outbreak had impacted the fiscal condition of different parts of this society, the economic-weaker segments would be the worst affected.
“The continuing lockdown from the nation has impacted the financial status of the weak and employee sections of this country.
Maintaining their insecurities in your mind, the state administration has declared the bundle,” stated the ministry.
According to the bundle, approximately 17.83 lakh landless agricultural labourers from the country would get financial aid of Rs 1,000 eachyear.
Even the landless agricultural labourers may additionally obtain Rs 207 crore in 3 instalments below the state administration’s Kalia scheme.
The ministry announced Rs 260 crore underneath the Mukhyamantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan (MUKTA) which intends to offer employment opportunities to the urban poor at most of the 114 urban regional bodies in the nation.
