Odisha CM Lays Foundation Stone for 55 new bus stands

Bhubaneswar: Head of the Naveen Patnaik Minister on Thursday Stone Laid Foundation for 55 buses standing in 22 state districts in virtual mode.
This will provide a big boost for rural connectivity.
Official sources say the bus holder will be arranged at the block level by considering several factors such as distance from district headquarters, economic activities, tourist attractions, existing communication facilities and other factors.
Naveen said this would connect country rural people with better and beneficial communication infrastructure for them.
Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) has linked Odisha and all its main areas through the fleet of buses, he added.
The Main Minister expressed happiness for innovation and constant improvement in the quality of services provided by OSRTC to Odisha communities, many of which depend on economic, education and recreational buses.
Among other things, Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera, Chief Secretary of the Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Secretary of the Minister of Justice (5T) VK Pandian, Main Secretary and Transportation Madhu Sudan Padhi, Minister, MPS, MLAS, District collector and transportation officials are present at the district district level.
