Bhubaneswar: The Minister of Naveen Patnaik’s chairman on Saturday expressed displeasure at a poor level of confidence from the State Police.
Overcoming the 63rd Senior Senior Senior Police Officer Conference Session, Naveen asked the police to ensure the safety of women and children in the state.
“The low level of confidence continues to be a concern field.
All possible steps must be taken to increase the level of confidence by using modern technology during the investigation.
Crime against women and children must always be a focus area.
Such complaints must be attended by empathy.” Said Naveen.
The main minister praised the state police to ensure peace, and law and order in 2021.

Considering the shortage of houses for police personnel, the ministerial head said the government would provide Rs 1,000 Crore for the next five years for building construction with special emphasis on housing for the police.
Naveen praised the Special Task Force (STF) to curb the threat of drugs and wildlife crimes in the state.
“I was told that the number of narcotics records had been confiscated.
The special encouragement for drugs must continue.
Special narcotics units have been made in STF.
Now more emphasis must be given to limiting narcotics drugs in urban areas,” he said.
The minister’s chairman also praised the state police because it brought left wing extremism (LWE) under control.
“Good feedback has been accepted under Mo Sarkar regarding the Odisha police.
Under the Charter 5T, certain good initiatives such as strengthening civilian police, fast processing passport verification, promotion of the police personnel who are on time and e-FIR has been taken up,” said Naveen .
