Odisha cm Naveen Patnaik is looking for ‘special dispensation’ from the center to catch up with the front line

Bhubaneswar: Head of Odisha Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday demanded “special dispensation” from the center to follow the state of the front of the country as Niti Aayog said it wanted to partner with Odisha to develop a certain blue development.
Increasing the problem during the meeting with the Chair of the Deputy Niti Aayog Rajiv Kumar here, the main minister said the country was burdened with long-term problems such as the infrastructure gap and vulnerability to repeated natural disasters.

The official record said Odisha had faced 16 natural disaster including five very severe cyclones and two floods in the past 11 years which caused destruction of public and private nature worth more than RS 35,000 Crore.
Despite being exposed to natural disaster, Naveen said that Odisha had made a substantial increase in the past two decades both in macroeconomic indicators and socio-economic indicators.
“Our development interventions have succeeded in fighting the left wings of extremism, mobilization and economic empowerment of nearly 70 women lakh through self-help group.
We have our own health insurance scheme for cash without cash in empaneled hospitals with wider coverage to reduce pocket health expenses, “Naveen said during the meeting.
When it includes state achievements such as the third largest contributor to the collection of state PDS rice and becoming a pioneer in a cash transfer system for pregnant women and nursing mothers, the Minister’s minister also highlights Odisha’s journey to become an attractive investment destination in the manufacturing and mining industry by creating infrastructure.
The minister’s chairman also praised Niti Aayog for its support to declare in identifying priorities, sectors, and strategies for sustainable development.
During the meeting, Kumar also appreciated the achievement of countries in areas such as increasing per capita income, children’s nutritional security, an increase in agriculture and mining along with managing a fiscal deficit below 5% percent.
Some of the main suggestions carried out by the Chair of the Deputy Niti Aayog include an increase in state mining production, turning to chemical-free agriculture in the state and to regulate monitoring units to achieve sustainable development goals in all administrative settings in the state.
“The growth per capita of the country during 2011 to 2020 is more than the national average.
This is good achievement.
We have discussed in detail with a focus on intensifying the rate of state development, increasing more people from under the poverty line and overall development of aspirational districts,” Kumar said to Reporters after the meeting.
Kumar, who is on a three-day visit to the country, also holds a discussion with the Industrial Association, members of civil society and academics to understand the aspects of development.
He will also visit Puri, Chilka, and other nearby tourist attractions before leaving for New Delhi on Friday.
