The Sri Shankar Foundation will run a 750 bed cancer hospital, while Bengaluru-based hospital trust will run an 110 bed palliative care unit.
This will help the capital city be a leading center in cancer and palliative care services in this country.
The palliative care unit will provide free services, officials said.

The minister’s chairman praised the couple for this noble effort.
Naveen while talking to people on the occasion said the two institutions would help Odisha patients in accessing quality health facilities.
The state government will provide all support for initial settlement, he added.
The Shankara Cancer Foundation, led by Dr.

Naveen further said Kishore Rao and Gurmeet Randhawa, the founder of Bangalore Hospice Trust and their team had served dying needs with dignity for more than 25 years through their Karunashraya.
Dr.

The hospital will have facilities for PG training in oncology, he added.
Randhawa said the palliative center in Bhubaneswar will be developed as the best palliative care facility in the world.
They will train more than 25,000 young people, including Tribal Girls, in the next five years.
