Bhubaneswar: Complete arrangements have occurred for a one-day visit Minister Naveen Patnaik to Malkangiri on Friday, which will be his first public meeting outside Bhubaneswar since the second wave struck.
The official source said Naveen will attend the state level launch from the expansion of Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), where the government plans to cover 96 families of Lakh.
The minister’s chairman will distribute smart health cards to beneficiaries under the revised BSKY scheme from Malkangiri, which will continue throughout the state.
“All arrangements have been carried out by considering the Covid-19 protocol.
RT-PCR tests from all participants and guests have been completed,” said Malkangiri District Collector Vishal Singh.
He said security arrangements had also been carried out in accordance with the protocol for the visit of the minister’s chairman.
While Naveen will attend the function in the district head office district and overcome small public rallies, half a dozen ministers will attend the program through video conferencing in various blocks and local bodies in the district.
Sources say Minister of Health Naba Das, Minister of SC / ST Jagannath Sarka, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, Textile and Handloms Minister Padmini Dian, Agriculture Minister Arun Sahoo, Minister of Forest Bikram Khari Arukh, Minister of Sports Behera, Planning and Convergence Padmanabha Behera and other senior BJD leaders camped in districts dominated by tribes to coordinate the Naveen program.
Following the launch of a smart health card in Malkangiri, the government has planned several meetings to distribute cards to 96 lakh families throughout the state of September 1.
The powerful party plans a massive outreach program at the grassroots level.
The health insurance scheme before the Three Level Panchayat poll, is scheduled for early next year.
