Bhubaneswar: Chairman of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik on Thursday seeks cooperation with Jagannath Temple in Puri for timely and smooth ritual settlement during Rat Yatra Monday.
Naveen also emphasized the need for compliance with strict Covid safety norms during festival behavior, which was permitted by the Supreme Court only in Puri.
Like last year, the state government has banned the participation of worshipers as long as Rat Yatra remembers the pandemic.
“All arrangements have reached the final stage.
Like last year, Rath Yatra will be observed in the midst of an unprecedented situation this time.
Worshipers around the world will witness festivals on TV screens and social media.

Chief Secretary of the Suresh Mahapatra, Director General of Police Abhay, Head of Jagannath Temple Administrator Krisan Kumar, Collector of Puri Samarth Verma and SP Kanwar Vishal Singh attended a virtual meeting.
Three ministers including Pratap Jena, who also attended the meeting, rushed to the castle and supervised the settings.
Looking for the blessings of the gods for the smooth behavior of Rath Yatra, said Naveen, the danger of Covid is still hiding even though the level of infection in the second wave has dropped.
The minister’s chairman urged the worshipers to stay at home during a pandemic and watch Rath Yatra lived on TV.

In the meeting, the Minister of Health Naba Kishore Das informed that Covid’s testing and vaccination center had been established in Puri for servants.
Only people who test the negative for Covid-19 will be allowed to take part in Rath Yatra.
Temporary first aid central will be arranged at the Grand Road for servants and government staff.
DGP Abhay said adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure peaceful Rath Yatra.
The police said they would enforce the Covid safety protocol and part 144 CRPC in Puri City to prevent the congregation of worshipers during the festival.
