Odisha: CM Naveen Patnaik Writing to Union Min on Short Fertilizer Supply

Bhubaneswar: Minister of Naveen Patnaik’s chairman on Saturday search for union chemical interventions and Mansukh Minister of Mansukh Mandaviya’s fertilizer at the supply of short fertilizers to Odisha.
Naveen, in a letter to Mandaviya, said that through fertilizer supply to Odisha in accordance with the planned monthly movement was normal until April, there had been a severe short supply between May and July.
During the current Kharif season, the new country only received 1,45,145 MT Urea against the allocation of 2,31,530 MT and the supply plan agreed upon from 2,10,000 MT.
Similarly, during this period, the state has received 97,763 MT DAP (in-ammonium phosphate) against the allocation of 1,52,000 MT and the supply plan agreed upon from 1,45,000 MT, wrote the ministerial head.
The minister’s chairman also shows a short supply of other fertilizers such as MOP (Muricate of Pigash) and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) fertilizer to the state.
“Overall, the urea supply has been 62% of the allocation and 69% of the agreed supply plan.
For other fertilizers, the amount of supply stands among 60% and 74%,” the Ministerial Minister said.
Said that farmers in this country have suffered severe harvested losses due to a storm of cyclone, the main minister underlines the continuation of fertilizer supply to optimize production.
“In mid-July to September, the period of peak consumption for Urea and July to August is the peak period of demand for all other fertilizers, the supply of short fertilizers to the country at this point will have a negative impact on the country and do not need legal and order situations in most districts , “Naveen wrote.
