Odisha cm transferred RS 743 Crore to 37 lakh farmers under the Kalaa scheme

Bhubaneswar: In Nuakhai, the famous agrarian festival from West Odisha, Head of Odisha Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday initiated transferring around RS 743 Crore to an account of more than 37 lakh farmers under Kalia, the state government revenue support scheme.
This number has been approved for rabbi plants while each farmer will receive RS 2,000 respectively, the official source said.
Overcoming farmers virtually, Naveen said he was very happy to start transferring the amount of nuakhai, having a great meaning for the agricultural community.
Testing the Kalia scheme as the best scheme for the welfare of the farmers, the main minister said more than Rs 3,200 Crore had been transferred to farmer accounts since the Pandemic Covid-19 outbreak.
Naveen said Odisha was the only country to help farmers without land under the scheme.
In the midst of blaming the game between BJD and BJP on the supply of short fertilizers to Odisha by the Government of NDA, Naveen said he was directly related to the trade union government to ensure adequate fertilizer supply to the country.
The minister’s chairman said the problem faced by farmers was also the main problem of the country, which could never be ignored.
Given the dry mantra situation triggered a situation like drought in several bags, Naveen said even when the country had witnessed rainfall deficits in August, the situation would likely increase in September due to increased rainfall.
“The state government has oversee the situation.
Field level officials are asked to stay in touch with farmers to understand their problems.
I urge all of you to take steps in accordance with the Advisory of the Ministry of Agriculture,” Naveen said on that occasion.
The minister’s chairman said his government had repeatedly raised the problem of hiking prices for minimum support and resolved the problems faced by farmers in plant insurance schemes.
Some beneficiaries under the scheme expressed their thanks to the minister of chairman for the scheme and said they did not have to go to borrow because of the financial assistance they received under Kalia.
