BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Congress president Niranjan Patnaik on Wednesday demanded the state government must cancel the Class 12 board evaluation because of the prevailing next wave of this COVID-19 pandemic.
The requirement came a day after the Centre declared the cancellation of Course 12 CBSE examinations over the pandemic scenario.
The CISCE also has declared that its decision to cancel course 12 ISC exams.
“It’ll be irrational to push pupils of Odisha to look for its #CHSE (Council of Higher Secondary Education) examinations in the middle of a fierce pandemic,” Patnaik tweeted.

With the passing of 40 individuals on Wednesday, Odisha enrolled its greatest single-day spike in COVID-19 deaths.
The country also listed 8,399 new cases over the course of the day.
“We should not have unrealistic expectations out of our kids in such tough times.
Ensuring their security should be our priority,” that the OPCC president stated.
The Congress chief added that it was high time the Odisha authorities called the CHSE assessments for its well-being of their pupils.
He encouraged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to pick with no additional delay.
