Bhubaneswar: Learning lessons from Pandemi, the State Secondary Education Council (BSE) on Wednesday launched a new assessment method for high school students from the current academic session.
Henceforth, these students will be evaluated twice a year in the form of formative assessments, which are similar to the evaluation of sustainable understanding carried out by schools affiliated with CBSE.
The Board of President Ramshis Hazra said, “The new assessment method aims to bring justice, transparency, and quality at the high school level.
Students and teachers must complete the course at the end of each term and will be assessed at a frequent interval.
This will not only help improve results They, but also bring them equivalent to other board and state students.
“According to the new method, each academic session will be divided into two terms – the first term from July to November and the second term from December to April.
The teachers will cover 50% syllabus in every time period.
Two internal assessments will be carried out periodically sustainably in each time period, while there will be one examination at the end of each term.
The final exam and the final examination will be held at the home school itself and the question will be prepared by BSE, Odisha.
Evaluation will be carried out by neutral schools to be informed by the board.
In any emergency if the expiration test cannot be done at school, students can appear for tests from their homes and submit the answers to schools in the scheduled time.
“The board will choose neutral schools for each school so that there will be total justice in marking and no schools that can provide increased value to their own students.
If the difference between a sign that is guaranteed by a student in the FAS and the final exam will be more than 30% , Moderate Board’s policy will be implemented, “Hazra explained.
The Board has also made provisions for analysis and assessment schemes for various situations such as the cancellation of exams due to other pandemics or emergencies and improving signs of signs for assessment.

“BSE can change it in the following years regarding the academic session, syllabus, examination patterns and moderating policies that are in accordance with the current situation,” added Mohanty.
